This project required the amendment and development of a series of resources including PowerPoint slideshows and associated Trainer’s manuals. The face-to-face training program addresses a range of financial pitfalls and risks involved with buying a car. It is part of a larger program designed specifically for young people learning to drive a car.
As Instructional Designer and Writer, my roles included consulting with the course deliverers, observing their current practice and negotiating the format of the final resources. Once we had an agreed plan, I amended, wrote and developed content for each resource, incorporating reviews from trainers and facilitators.
The resources are used as part of the Rotary Young Driver Awareness Program (RYDA), a Rotary initiative implemented in all Australian States and Territories. The final education kit consists of Presenter Notes, Slides and Trainer Manual (2005).
