This project was funded by a grant from Macquarie University Sustainability unit. The task was to develop a series of videos to illustrate a range of ideas, concepts and findings from research related to sustainability, learning and teaching.
One of the key approaches of the project was to explore learning and teaching concepts, rather than having a focus on recycling office paper or turning off lights. As Producer of the video resources, I consulted with the project leader and various stakeholders to negotiate appropriate approaches for video within time, budget and other constraints. We developed an approach which focussed on existing initiatives within Macquarie University, with students, lecturers and tutors telling their own stories. We looked at the attitudes which inform sustainability initiatives including those related to Macquarie University Graduate Capabilities.
The videos are used in a range of professional development workshops and conference presentations. For more information about the project, please see Sustainability in Teaching developed by Learning and Teaching Centre, Macquarie University.
