Developed by Open Training and Education Network (OTEN) to support the Rugby World Cup 2003, this project was designed as an online orientation module. It was combined with additional face-to-face training (venue and job-role specific).
As lead Instructional Designer and Writer, my roles included consulting with Australian Rugby Union Human Resources officers and content management system coordinators to determine the scope of work and the format of the final resources as well as writing/developing content and managing additional Writers, Programmers, Flash Developers and Screen Designers.
The resource was launched as an online training orientation module supported by a small printed “pocket-guide”. By completing the Workforce training module, learners explored various aspects of the Rugby World Cup and completed a series of formative assessments (interactive flash quiz) before attempting the final assessment, an online quiz linked to a database and online accreditation system.
